[00:00:00] Speaker A: The Hawaiian Comedian presents. I've been doing comedy for over 20, 23 years and I've been on the road. I've been in different cities. I've been different things like that.
[00:00:07] Speaker B: We're here to talk about everything, man. The topics you talk about with your friends, your family, questions you got for us. Putting in the city.
[00:00:14] Speaker A: Aloha.
[00:00:19] Speaker B: I don't know how we keep doing this, dawg. We didn't talk about it. We didn't tell each other what we were wearing.
Guess that's what happens when you're on the same wavelength. Hello, I'm Twitty, that's thc. This is Twitty in the City. Hit the like, hit the. Subscribe. You've been doing it. We appreciate you. We also been seeing those comments related to what we. We're trying to figure out club name for you, for the people, because I want to get you guys shirts. So I was thinking I don't want to do like Twitter in the Twitter. I feel like that's so lame. I want to do like the people of the city. But you got some comments in there. Keep them coming. We'll figure it out. Maybe we'll create some poll or figure something.
[00:00:55] Speaker A: I don't know what it is, and I'm not following his. His wardrobe or nothing. It's like everything. We're like down the lighter.
[00:01:01] Speaker B: You have the darker version of what I got on. Even to the pants. Put your pants leg. Yeah, yeah. Look at that. Look at that. I got a light, light khaki. He's got a dark khaki. I got baby blue. That's more of like the. The darker blue.
I don't know, man. We did not. We did not plan this. You got. They're probably going to be like, oh, I mean, we don't know. You know what? We got to start having some sort of like pre live as we're showing up here to prove to people at.
[00:01:24] Speaker A: Least to offset color.
[00:01:25] Speaker B: Yeah. Something.
[00:01:27] Speaker A: Something I got. We got to let each other know.
[00:01:29] Speaker B: Yeah. Because this has got to stop happening either way.
[00:01:32] Speaker A: So what are we doing here now? We're doing a little. Little, little quick, quick. Hit him and quit them.
[00:01:37] Speaker B: Yeah, I think.
I think it'll be quick. I think this is a question I've been trying to ask you, but it's. I think it's going to be a quick answer. So because you always. You're always talking about. You win the lottery, you're going to do this, you're going to do that.
[00:01:51] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:01:51] Speaker B: You ask out a lot.
[00:01:53] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:01:54] Speaker B: My question is being real with yourself. Because I had a conversation with my wife because she knowing you, I told her that I was like tac always ask me like how much would it be for me to like fully retire and live my life? And my wife looked at me, she said how much realistically would you need to just do a quick reset?
[00:02:13] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:02:15] Speaker B: And I, so this is coming from my wife. I want to know what is your dollar realistic dollar amount to not be off wealthy, but to get rid of some debt. If you're in need of a new car to get you. I'm not saying to pay your house off, to not buy a boat. The necessities you got right now in your life where you're just like, I wish that could just be zeroed out so I could then take that money.
[00:02:40] Speaker A: I would have to buy the house then. Cause then that would be one of the necessities that needs to be taken care of.
[00:02:44] Speaker B: Is that a necessity that needs to get taken? Is that. Yeah, cuz I'm paying everything else.
[00:02:49] Speaker A: I need a place to live, I need something to drive, I need something like that.
[00:02:52] Speaker B: So do you have to have all that paid off? If you do, you have to have the house fully paid off right now to accomplish other stuff?
[00:02:59] Speaker A: That's.
[00:02:59] Speaker B: This is the question. Cuz for me, yes, I have my dollar amount and I, and I'll break it down for you.
[00:03:05] Speaker A: Am I, am I able to, are.
[00:03:08] Speaker B: You able to pay it off? Yes, depending on your real. So here's my thing. My range was your realistic number has to be.
And again I could be judging, I don't know everybody's debt, but I was like you gotta be looking at 400,000 or less.
Like I'm not saying like give me a million and I'm good. Like for me, I'll give you my number. My number 80k.
Because I don't, because I don't want to pay off the house, but I want to finish paying off my truck which has two grand. I got 10,000 left in student loans.
[00:03:42] Speaker A: Okay. Now when you're saying this though, when you're saying this 80k, this is it. And you're just nothing else, you're not doing anything else.
[00:03:48] Speaker B: No, 80k is to just happily my check. So here's my goal. My goal is that this ADK will allow me to pay my house, pay for insurance, pay for utilities and then that's money for me to invest more into stocks or to take more vacations.
[00:04:08] Speaker A: Okay, so, so what you're saying when you started off with Lottery, though. You started off with, I won the lottery.
[00:04:13] Speaker B: No, I said this is where this came from. Okay, because you're always talking about when.
[00:04:17] Speaker A: How much, how much would it cost for you to actually leave your job and just be always asking.
[00:04:21] Speaker B: My.
[00:04:22] Speaker A: Your number is 80k.
[00:04:23] Speaker B: 80K is what I realistically would need to comfortably get rid of my student debt.
The 2000 I got on my car, my wife's car is paid off, but it's starting. I have to start putting about a grand into it once.
So she is in need of a new car.
[00:04:40] Speaker A: So this is you. If you would have won a million, if you would have won $80,000 and.
[00:04:44] Speaker B: You'D be straight, I'd be happy. I would. I would be happy to the point that I'm knowing my check is taken care of. Mortgage, electric, water, gas, hoa.
What's the other.
[00:04:57] Speaker A: Yeah, but that comes recurring though.
[00:04:59] Speaker B: Right? But this 80k is just, that's why I call it a reset. This 80k is that debt that you just can't get off your back and you just, you don't want. I don't want 300 going towards my stud student loans when that 300 can be going somewhere else.
[00:05:12] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:05:13] Speaker B: So that's where I was. That's why I said, like, do you need to have your house paid off?
Because I could say the same thing. And it's like, I need 500k, but it's like I just, I don't want to have to fully pay off my house.
[00:05:23] Speaker A: I think that, I think that, that in my, in that situation, what I would say is that I would ask for that. And the only reason why I would ask for something higher to say that my number would be higher is because there's times where I'm.
The age difference between the two of us.
[00:05:38] Speaker B: Right.
[00:05:38] Speaker A: So I think that's the only times that when you say, do I need my house paid off? Yeah, I do. Because. Because I'm an older person, I've got a lot more years on me than you.
[00:05:47] Speaker B: That's fair.
[00:05:48] Speaker A: You got, you got a lot more time to be here. I don't. And I wouldn't want. And I, when you ask me that and you say, hey, do you need that paid off? Well, I would like that to be so that I'm not passing any debt or any things that I have on to my children.
[00:06:00] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:06:00] Speaker A: I don't want them going, oh, well, your dad died, so now you're going to have to cover this.
So if I took care of that and everything was in the bank Yeah, I, and I, my number's a whole lot more than 80,000.
[00:06:11] Speaker B: That's fair.
[00:06:12] Speaker A: My, my number's like, my, honestly, my number's like maybe a little over half a mil.
[00:06:20] Speaker B: 500K.
[00:06:21] Speaker A: Yeah, a little over half a mil. And I'm straight.
[00:06:23] Speaker B: But so when.
[00:06:25] Speaker A: All right, so that clears me because I already own my, I already own my cars.
[00:06:28] Speaker B: Right.
[00:06:28] Speaker A: Don't have to pay off my cars.
[00:06:29] Speaker B: About you.
[00:06:30] Speaker A: I got all my titles. So the cars are all paid off.
[00:06:32] Speaker B: Everything's really, this is really to pay off the house.
[00:06:34] Speaker A: Correct.
Everything else will be able to handle. So then that'll give me that extra two hundred thousand dollar cushion.
[00:06:40] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:06:40] Speaker A: And I'll be straight. Yeah, I'll be 100%.
[00:06:42] Speaker B: If you, if you added, if we, if me and my wife added our house, it would be, I would be at like 580.
[00:06:48] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:06:48] Speaker B: Okay. But for me it was like again, because I'm younger.
[00:06:51] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:06:52] Speaker B: It's like, I see I don't have.
[00:06:53] Speaker A: As many years as you got to.
[00:06:56] Speaker B: I'm like, I'm cool. Still paying a mortgage because that's, that's a part of life. But I'm like, my student debt, I've been paying for years.
[00:07:02] Speaker A: Right, Right.
[00:07:03] Speaker B: I have debt. When I first got out of college, didn't know what to do. Got a credit card, maxed it out. So for me it was like, I just want to get rid of that so I can do the normal.
[00:07:12] Speaker A: And then like if, if I did win the lottery too, like, I was, I was asked if would I ever quit my job and.
[00:07:18] Speaker B: Oh, absolutely not.
[00:07:19] Speaker A: I'm not.
[00:07:20] Speaker B: I know that about you.
[00:07:21] Speaker A: Yeah, no, I, I, it, it all depends because I love what I do. I, I love what I do and I love who I work for and I love who I work with. And it's like if I didn't have those all aligned up and I won the lottery. Oh yeah. I'm walking in the next day with a cake, blowing out the candle and I'm out.
[00:07:37] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:07:37] Speaker A: That's how I would leave.
[00:07:38] Speaker B: So here's, here's an alternative then. So, so we've already determined which, by the way, what's your realistic number? Getting the comments. I'm saying Your max is 500k.
Just if, if there was a sugar daddy, sugar.
[00:07:50] Speaker A: Unless somebody, unless you just have a whole bunch.
[00:07:55] Speaker B: Of. I'm not trying to judge, but I'm like, I feel like not too many people got 500k.
[00:07:59] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:08:00] Speaker B: Unless you're getting ready to hit your 50s and you're like, yeah, you don't want to get your retirement.
[00:08:06] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:08:06] Speaker B: You're close to retirement. I understand. And like you said, finally, all of it's going to the house. Just so I'm good.
[00:08:11] Speaker A: Yeah. And it's not even all of it. It's 500k. Is not. I don't owe 500k on my house. So, like, there'll still be a nice little, you know, little. Maybe even though a little quarter meal that's still left over. When I'm done paying for the house.
[00:08:22] Speaker B: I'll rephrase mine to the. To the T. 80K to the T. I get that. I'm Gucci. I would ask probably 160.
[00:08:30] Speaker A: 160. You see, now that's where I thought you would have been at when you went double digit. I was like, nah, you gotta be triple digit.
[00:08:35] Speaker B: Well, I was triple digit.
[00:08:37] Speaker A: Will give you that comfort.
[00:08:38] Speaker B: When me and my wife asked, she asked me, she was like, specifically, she said, what's the exact number where if somebody was like, twitty, I gotta check for you. I tell you for the most realistic. The debt and expenses you want to get rid of. Here's a check. I was like, 80k.
[00:08:52] Speaker A: You got it. You got.
[00:08:53] Speaker B: He's like, you know what?
I want to help you. And then here's a little extra. I go 160. I double it.
[00:08:59] Speaker A: You got to. And you. And you got to have that little extra. You got to have it because that little extra is what my uncle used to say. My uncle used to say. It was that. It was that one eye. It was that one eye, lay back, relax.
And I'm like, what is that? One eye, lay back, relax.
[00:09:12] Speaker B: That is, too.
[00:09:13] Speaker A: And the only time you had, you check. You check one eye, and they close it and go back down. It's like if you have that comfort to where all you really had to do. Open one eye check. Good.
Back to sleep.
[00:09:25] Speaker B: Yeah. I was gonna ask you if you didn't like where you worked and you won a million and quit.
[00:09:34] Speaker A: If I didn't like. If I didn't like.
[00:09:36] Speaker B: But I think you're gonna. You're gonna go find a job. You do. Like, you ain't just gonna be retired.
[00:09:40] Speaker A: Oh, no, no, no. If I wanted. If. If I. If I was at a job I didn't like and I. And I only had to win a thousand dollars, I could win $10,000. I win $10,000 if I was at a job I didn't like. Yeah. Hell yeah. Because like you said, I'm gonna go find Another one. Now I got a 10. I got a $10,000 cushion to go look for another job. So that's what I'm. If I didn't like my job, it would only take a 10,000, maybe even 5,000. I do a scratcher, get a scratcher, scratch it off, and I won five grand. I got a cupcake the next day with a candle and it blowing it out. I quit and walk out.
[00:10:11] Speaker B: So, like you said, leave the cupcake. We both love where we were, but this. So you're telling me if this sugar daddy sugar mama came up and was like, I want to expand, offended you from the job you don't like, you would tell them, just give me five.
[00:10:22] Speaker A: Five grand, give me five? Yep.
It's so easy. It's been so easy to walk away from it.
[00:10:27] Speaker B: Oh, he says, you give me 10. I gotta.
[00:10:30] Speaker A: I gotta go. Yeah, I got a scratch ticket. I'm in the back of my cubicle, and I'm scratching. I won. I quit.
It'd be two phrases before words. I won.
[00:10:40] Speaker B: I quit.
Bro said 5.
[00:10:43] Speaker A: I'm saying, like, 10k. 10k would give me enough cushions for like, a month or so to go look for a new job. You know what I mean?
[00:10:49] Speaker B: But it would 5k you. Just. You. I'd be happy out there applying.
[00:10:53] Speaker A: I'd be happy for that month. That'd be my most happiest month right there.
[00:10:56] Speaker B: Said if I did.
Yeah.
[00:10:58] Speaker A: If I didn't like the job. Yeah. I ain't got to win that much.
[00:11:01] Speaker B: Yo, how many people are out there watching this right now? Probably scratching right now, saying he has no idea.
[00:11:07] Speaker A: That's why they scratching right now. They sitting right there. I know exactly what I'm trying to do.
[00:11:11] Speaker B: Just give me five.
[00:11:12] Speaker A: Just give me five. Sean said five. I'm trying to win this 50,000 that's on the front right.
[00:11:16] Speaker B: Right here. Don't be stingy. Just go get the five.
[00:11:18] Speaker A: But, like, I. And I don't. I don't have to be like, if. If I won. If I won any type of lottery, like, I'm. I'm still working.
[00:11:24] Speaker B: I have to.
[00:11:25] Speaker A: But I'm. But. But now I get to do what I want to do and how I want to do, because I can.
[00:11:30] Speaker B: That's. That's where I'm at. I. I got a one. My wife would. She'd probably threaten. She'd be like, I'm not giving you half of this unless you go find something honest.
[00:11:39] Speaker A: Honestly. Where you and I work. Where you and I work now, like, you gonna have to fire me.
You're gonna have to ask. You're gonna have to ask me to leave because I like where I work. Like, even if.
[00:11:48] Speaker B: If I won the lottery showing up.
[00:11:50] Speaker A: Yep. If I won the lottery, they're just like, pete, like, why are you still here, dog? I just. I love what I do. We ain't even paying you. I don't care. I'm not worried about it. I got that. I got that part covered.
[00:11:59] Speaker B: How'd you get in? You know.
[00:12:00] Speaker A: Yeah. You know, my key card always works.
[00:12:03] Speaker B: This what you would do. You won the lottery and you're supposed to retire. You would probably have been like, I took a thousand dollars and made multiple copies of that key for. I gave it to you.
[00:12:12] Speaker A: Yeah. Yep.
Showing up every day would do. Yep.
[00:12:16] Speaker B: Give me that key. Like, that's fine. I got. I got it on retainer, dog. Every one I give you, I got.
[00:12:21] Speaker A: The number one sentence in the. In in the meeting would be, you still work here, Sean. That'd be the number one sentence every Tuesday.
[00:12:27] Speaker B: I sure do.
That's funny, man. Okay, I gotta know realistic number up to 100k to just have a nice reset. That's what I like. My wife called it a reset. It's that just to take you back to zero. Yeah. You got in your teens or you're in your early 20s, you just had to make something to survive and it's maybe still carry.
[00:12:47] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:12:47] Speaker B: What's your realistic number? Put in the comments. We want to know. I changed mine. I'll go 100. I'll go 160k. Tac went 500.
[00:12:56] Speaker A: 500K.
[00:12:57] Speaker B: What's yours again? Debt. If your Tac's age or you're close to that, you're like, I don't want to have no more mortgage. I just want to pay that off. We want to know up to 500k, hit the. Like, hit the subscribe. We're going to get to your comments too, sometime. As long as me and THC don't keep having these random matching out.
[00:13:14] Speaker A: No, we are.
[00:13:14] Speaker B: We are thoughts.
We see them, we like them. We just.
This is what happens with our show, man. We have a great plan. And then something just happens. Like walking in and matching accidentally.
[00:13:26] Speaker A: Accidentally.
[00:13:27] Speaker B: We gotta start doing some lives so people see that. We show up and just know.
[00:13:33] Speaker A: Yeah, right. When we. Before we start, before we go in, they can see it. They come in there. We got to. We got to start hooking up a.
[00:13:38] Speaker B: Little pre show before the show. Pre app before the episode.
[00:13:42] Speaker A: Yeah. Let us know how you feel about that. And I'll start getting that together. So before we come in and we start recording, we can actually have a live thing where you can come on and you can ask us questions and do all that. Tell us how you feel about that.
[00:13:51] Speaker B: Real. Yeah.
[00:13:52] Speaker A: Then that way you gotta be in real time.
[00:13:53] Speaker B: That way you won't be in the DMs, being like, I asked y' all a question.
[00:13:56] Speaker A: Correct to go correct.
[00:13:57] Speaker B: There is somebody in there. I saw.
[00:13:59] Speaker A: There's been a couple times, man, I ain't gonna lie. I ain't gonna lie to the people out there that are watching. There's been a couple times I was like, let me try this live thing. 45 minutes later, I'm like, hey, it's still zero watchers.
[00:14:09] Speaker B: I feel like there's a button you're. You probably didn't hit there's.
Because we got over 500.
[00:14:16] Speaker A: I don't know.
[00:14:17] Speaker B: You're telling me that zero percent of the following did?
[00:14:20] Speaker A: Man, I was 45 minutes. I had never seen. I think it flashed, like, one time where there was one watcher, and then boom. They were just side. They were just swiping, swipe, swipe, swipe.
[00:14:29] Speaker B: I ain't gonna let him disrespect y' all like that. He doing something wrong. That's a user error.
[00:14:33] Speaker A: That might be it.
[00:14:34] Speaker B: It's gotta be.
[00:14:35] Speaker A: I'm hoping it is a zero. Zero. A zero, zero. Being honest, being straight up there, because I don't want to say it was like 900 people and somebody come on and. No, I was there. I was there. I was there.
[00:14:45] Speaker B: I. I found.
[00:14:47] Speaker A: It'd be Wild Beard. Wild Beard would come on there and be like, dude, you know, I was the only one there. You know what? You absolutely right. That's why I'm saying, yeah, it was zero. It was zero ever. I tried twice. So I would like to do it to where we would do a live video before we come in, before we go on there, so we can catch stuff that we do before we do the show.
[00:15:03] Speaker B: Get in the comments on that as well. Just get in the comments, man. Hit the. Like to subscribe. I'm Twitty. That's THC loha. We'll try out the match next time, but ain't no guarantee.
[00:15:14] Speaker A: LA.
